Meet Honey!
This sweet pup was found in Pescadero BCS, Mexico in early 2021 wandering the beach. Luckily a tourist found her and brought her to a local vet that reached out to us to help her because Honey had tested positive for heartworm. After treating her and housing her for almost 2 years with a dedicated foster Honey is healthy and heartworm free! She is about 3 years old and should weigh about 45lbs, she is currently a little over weight due to so much rest time during treatment.
Honey prefers male dogs but is tolerant of non dominant female dogs. She loves to play with her husky brother and chew on squeaky toys. Honey is house and crate trained and ready to learn some more skills with her new family. Honey can be shy in public but does walk on leash well. Her foster says even though Honey is almost as big as her she still loves to jump in her lap and get pets or be comforted when she is scared at the vets office.
Honey cannot wait to join your home and family. She is kid approved and would love to curl up in bed with you every night keeping your feet warm. Honey is currently ready to go to the PNW if we can find her a foster or ideally her perfect forever home. She is currently located at our shelter in La Paz, Mexico but can be moved to the PNW within 10 - 15 days once adopted.
Honey’s adoption fee for Oregon, Washington, or California is $450USD.This helps us cover most of her vet and care costs incurred in Mexico, and the transport fee to bring our pups over 1,500 miles to the PNW. All our dogs come spay or neutered, with all theirs shots for the year, and have had multiple blood tests done prior to entering the USA from Mexico.
