Meet Lucy!

Meet Lucy this sweet gal was born in mid June 2017 we estimate and currently weighs about 30 pounds. She is being fostered in Bend, Oregon currently but was found in Pescadero, Mexico in really painful state. Both of her eyes were severely infected and swollen, we rushed her to our vet however it was too late and we had to make the decision to remove both her eyes.

However after a few months of healing, patience, and a loving foster family Lucy has recovered amazing. She loves every dog she meets and we imagine would be amazing around any animal she meets. Recently Lulu (nickname), got to attend an event with over 100 people and help represent SBP and she met almost everyone at the event and they all loved her. Even people who would normally not be considered animal people could not resist giving Lucy a pet and compliment. We think Lucy would thrive in almost any type of home, she has met children and been great with them, but we do recommend children maybe 3+ that can acknowledge her lack of eyes and know she is a special puppers.

Lucy’s lack of eyes does not stop her from running or playing. She loves to explore everywhere when on walks and does well in a crate as well. Lucy is house trained at her fosters home in Mexico, however we do expect a small learning curve due to the cold weather in the PNW right now and learning a new home and the layout. Her eye’s do not have any other follow-up or surgeries needed, she is set for the rest of her life.

Lucy is ready to find her forever family and will make an amazing addition to any family.

Lucy’s adoption fee for Oregon, Washington, or California is $450USD.
This helps us cover most of her vet and care costs incurred in Mexico, and the transport fee to bring our pups over 1,500 miles to the PNW. All our dogs come spay or neutered, with all theirs shots for the year, and have had multiple blood tests done prior to entering the USA from Mexico.
