Meet Skye
Meet Skye she is an adorable, medium-small, 3 year old pupper, who is ready to find her forever home. Skye is very well socialized with hoomans and is not shy at all when meeting new friends in the home or on walks. She was found in Todos Santos in early 2022 and had a broken arm likely from being hit by a car. We quickly got her into our program and fixed up right away knowing she would not have had any chance if left alone in the streets in her condition. In the photos you can see her scar from the surgery on the front right leg. Skye is fully healed now, she runs around and plays without a worry in the world.
She is an active pup who enjoys playing with her male dog companions as she is an alpha female. Skye does well on leash and is not reactive on walks towards any dogs or humans. She walks well on leash, but will thrive even more with treats and consistent training to really fine tune her skills. We think Skye would do best with children over the age of 10, as she has no experience with younger hoomans yet and can be very excitable and loves to sit in her hoomans laps even though she's not considered a normal size 'lap dog'.
Skye is currently in foster care in Portland, Oregon and can be transported for adoption almost anywhere. She is house trained and is learning how to play with squeaky toys. Skye is also crate trained, meaning she will be quiet inside the kennel, in a house with neighbors and she will not destroy her bedding. She loves to cuddle on the couch and going on long walks in the park. Skye is ready to meet her new family and cannot wait to show her new family her cute dance when she's begging for treats.
Skye’s adoption fee for Oregon, Washington, or California is $450USD. This helps us cover most of her vet care costs incurred in Mexico, and the transport fee to bring our pups over 1,500 miles to the PNW. All our dogs come spay or neutered, with all theirs shots for the year, and have had multiple blood tests done prior to entering the USA from Mexico.
